Game Lore
The town of Meowsbark was founded as a trading post by two nomadic clans of cats and dogs settled in the same area. The town grew as the two clans collaborated and prospered, despite having vastly different cultures. The dogs were primarily hunters and miners, very loyal and with a pack mentality. The cats were fishermen and merchants, with a more selfish, individualistic philosophy. Over time, these differences eroded the alliance between the two clans and conflict broke out between them. The dogs accused the cats of being lazy and dishonest, while the cats were feeling oppressed by the stifling laws of the dog clan. A barrier was erected, separating the town in two parts: Meow’s Bay and Barksdale.
